Jan Slabaugh

Jan Slabaugh is a specialist in early childhood education and resides in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Messiah College and a Master’s Degree in Education from Penn State University. She has taught in Early Childhood Education for more than twenty-four years, including the past six years at Messiah College. For twelve of those years she also co-owned and directed a Preschool Child Care Center. She has spoken at Early Childhood Conferences at the local, state, and national levels. Having completed a "Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse: Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania" course, she is equipped to train faith communities on the recent law changes in Pennsylvania. Ms. Slabaugh also teaches a course online that addresses children’s ministry and specializes in protection policy development. She has been a pastor’s wife for thirty-seven years and has four children plus six grandchildren.
