Reception and Children's Dove Award Presentation
Join Dove's Nest staff, board, and volunteers as we present our first-ever Children's Dove Award. This award is going to a Mennonite Church USA individual or church that did something courageous to keep children safe. Light refreshments will be provided. (Wednesday, July 5, 3:00 p.m. in room 224G)

Is It Possible? Protecting Children While Including Offenders
This seminar is comprised of a panel of church leaders who are working to safely include people in their congregations who have committed sexual offenses—one of the most complex challenges a church can face. Youth Seminar: When I Don't Want a Hug
"We're like family." "We're a huggy group." When can these be bad things in church and youth group? This seminar will offer information and discussion on how you as a teen can model healthy boundaries for the children and adults in your church, as well as be empowered that your body and personal space is sacred. A Shared Understanding of Ministerial Leadership
This seminar will look at the recently adopted polity book for pastors of MC USA. We will look at a qualifications, callings, credentials and ethics of persons in ministerial positions. (Presented by board member Nancy Kauffmann along with Terry Shue; Wednesday, July 5, 9:00 a.m. in room 221E)

Sexual Abuse and Non-Credentialed Leaders
In 2016 Mennonite Church USA updated and revised its ministerial misconduct policy. The Panel on Sexual Abuse Prevention was tasked with developing recommendations for prevention and response to sexual abuse for non-credentialed leaders. In this workshop we’ll outline these recommendations, highlighting best practices across the board for churches in the prevention of and response to sexual abuse. (Presented by board member Nancy Kauffmann along with Regina Shands Stoltzfus, David Miller, and Jenny CastroWednesday, July 5, 1:30 p.m. in room 232A)

Ministerial Misconduct Policy and Procedures
Participants will be guided through an introduction and overview of the recently revised document of policies and procedures. People new to conference leadership and people on credentialing bodies are particularly encouraged to attend. The Wisdom of the Wounded: Losses, Triggers, and the Churches Response 
The presentation seeks to bring understanding of the losses suffered due to childhood sexual abuse and the grief that is triggered when this type of abuse resurfaces later in life. Included are a discussion of primary and secondary losses due to childhood sexual abuse, a personal view of this issue, and suggestions on how the church can be more responsive to victims and survivors. (Presented by Speaker’s Bureau member Katherine Burkey Wiens; Thursday, July 6, 1:30 p.m. in room 231C)

Patriarchy ... Is That Still Even a Thing?
What is patriarchy? What does it have to do with the church? Does sexism still exist in our churches today?
